Trucker builds AI route app warning of grades, tight turns and low clearances other maps ignore

Designer tomjohndesign turned a Three.js game project into a portfolio, then into a route app for big-rig drivers. Existing trucking navigation only optimizes for duration and ignores grades, tight turns, and clearances — leading to blind-curve encounters with bridges you clear by 3 inches with no way to stop.
His app adds:
- AI route guidance and alternatives based on difficulty, not duration
- Alerts for problematic routes based on vehicle height and length
A nice example of a solo dev chain: game → portfolio → solving a real vertical-domain pain point.
