Meta Scraps Instagram AI Image Feature

Meta has removed the AI image generation feature from Instagram. According to Meta, the feature originally allowed users to generate images by @-mentioning public Instagram accounts in Meta AI to "reference" them. However, it was disabled following public backlash over the inappropriate design. The post notes the decision came after heavy criticism from major Hollywood figures and institutions.
