Human-AI Collaboration in RNA Structure Generation
rishabh16_ · x · 2026-07-09
A new phase of the OpenKnot challenge introduces a human-AI collaboration goal: humans will first design 1,000 pseudoknot structures on Eterna, followed by AI designing 1,000 sequences for each structure, aiming to advance the scalable generation of RNA structures suitable for cryoEM.
The original post explains that this puzzle requires players to design a 240-base RNA chain that folds into a compact pseudoknot, providing metrics to measure large-scale cross-pairing.
