Decomposer: A Framework for Turning MIDI into Editable Code
mtizard · x · 2026-07-09
Researchers have introduced Decomposer, a post-training framework designed for the "decompilation" of symbolic music. It can transform input MIDI music data into executable Strudel code.
The generated code not only reconstructs the original music but also exposes musical elements like patterns, harmony, rhythm, and stems as code, making them easy to edit downstream.
