Report: DeepSeek Developing Own AI Inference Chip

Reuters reports that DeepSeek is designing its own AI inference chips to reduce reliance on Nvidia and Huawei. The company is reportedly in talks with design, foundry, and memory partners while quietly hiring numerous chip engineers. DeepSeek's previous launch once wiped out roughly $600 billion in Nvidia's market cap in a single day.
