Claude Code Dev Thariq's Philosophy for Using Fable 5

When asked why his results with Fable 5 always turn out better, Claude Code developer Thariq shared his philosophy: "The map is not the territory." Prompts, skills, and context are merely the "map," while the actual codebase and real-world constraints form the "territory." He calls the gap between them the "unknowns," which are divided into four categories: known knowns, known unknowns, unknown knowns, and unknown unknowns.
His methodology spans three phases: pre-implementation (blind spot checks, brainstorming, interviews, gathering references, drafting a plan), during implementation (letting Fable log deviations from the plan), and post-implementation (organizing prototypes, documenting, creating demo GIFs, and doing self-test Q&A). For unfamiliar domains, he suggests having Fable do a "blind spot pass" first to uncover areas where you don't even know what questions to ask, and then restructuring the prompt accordingly.
