WayTrace lets robots autonomously navigate Zurich with web walking directions

CMU and collaborators released WayTrace, a hierarchical VLA approach that lets robots follow web-map walking directions to autonomously navigate 2.35 km of real Zurich streets, handling crosswalks, stairs, crowds and construction zones.
