MIT Survey: Most Early-Career Mathematicians Fear AI Will Hurt Tenure Prospects

A survey by three MIT early-career mathematicians of 268 graduate students and postdocs across nearly 60 institutions found that around 70% fear AI will make obtaining tenure harder, capturing young researchers' anxieties about AI's impact on mathematics.
