Hundreds of Mathematicians Warn AI Is Destroying Math Research

Around 900 mathematicians, including 25 Fields Medalists such as Terence Tao, signed an open letter accusing AI companies, notably OpenAI, of undermining mathematical research and calling for slowing AI's math capabilities. Future of Life Institute's Dave Shapiro dismissed the letter as selfish.
