UK Invests £30M in SOFAIR Lab for Fundamental AI Research
UCL, Cambridge, Oxford and Edinburgh have jointly launched the SOFAIR lab with £30 million in UK government funding, the largest-ever investment in a university AI lab, led by Professor David Barber to build transparent and efficient foundation models.
