Hyper3D Launches BANG to Parts for Editable 3D Model Decomposition

Hyper3D has launched the BANG to Parts feature, capable of automatically decomposing a complete 3D model into independent, complete, and editable parts. This marks a shift in 3D generation technology from merely producing static models to directly creating interactive animation assets, significantly lowering the barrier for post-processing.

The feature utilizes "generative decomposition" technology, distinguishing itself from traditional geometric cutting that often damages models and leaves broken cross-sections. The AI is designed to "understand" the object's natural structure and split it along actual structural seams to avoid jagged edges and broken surfaces. The extracted parts can be directly used for modifying materials, creating animations, or even 3D printing. Additionally, the feature supports "recursive splitting" (e.g., splitting a car into a wheel, and then further splitting the wheel) and manual selection for refined decomposition, ensuring the process isn't entirely reliant on fully automated algorithms. This feature is currently being rolled out on the Hyper3D Rodin platform with an online demo available.
