OpenAI Launches $20B+ Project Camellia Data Center in Georgia

OpenAI is planning Project Camellia, a massive data center initiative in Effingham County, Georgia (near Savannah). With an initial investment of approximately $20 billion and total costs potentially reaching tens of billions, the project is designed to provide industrial-scale infrastructure for next-generation models. According to Bloomberg, OpenAI executive Katti revealed that the company is seeking partners to co-finance and develop the data center, though it may choose to independently operate some facilities.
