Modelbest Open-Sources Embodied AI Model Series MiniCPM-Robot
ModelBest, in collaboration with OpenBMB, announced and open-sourced the embodied AI model series MiniCPM-Robot and the inference framework PhyAI during WAIC. Designed to serve as the "brain" for robots, this series emphasizes sim-to-real generalization and attempts to cover multiple downstream tasks with a single set of weights.
Key Models and Details
The series primarily includes the following models:
- **MiniCPM-RobotManip**: Positioned as a general-purpose VLA (Vision-Language-Action) model with 1.5B parameters. Based on MiniCPM-V4.6, it is primarily used to control robotic arms. By incorporating historical actions to predict future actions, this model enhances operational continuity.
- **MiniCPM-RobotTrack**: Designed for robot navigation and tracking tasks within embodied AI pipelines.
Companion Framework
In addition to the models, the release also introduced the inference framework **PhyAI** to support the execution and deployment of embodied AI models.
