Modelbest Open-Sources Embodied AI Model Series MiniCPM-Robot
Modelbest and OpenBMB released and open-sourced the embodied AI model series MiniCPM-Robot and the inference framework PhyAI during WAIC. The series aims to provide a "brain" for robots, emphasizing sim-to-real generalization and attempting to cover various downstream tasks with a single set of weights.
Key Models and Details
The series mainly includes two models:
- MiniCPM-RobotManip: A 1.5B parameter general Vision-Language-Action (VLA) model trained based on MiniCPM-V4.6, primarily used to control robotic arms. It improves operational coherence by incorporating historical actions to predict future ones.
- MiniCPM-RobotTrack: Designed for robot navigation and tracking tasks within the embodied AI pipeline.
Companion Framework
In addition to the models, the inference framework PhyAI was simultaneously launched to support the execution and deployment of these embodied AI models.
