Open-source local-first finance app Tomorrow, built almost entirely with Claude
Flamer117 · reddit · 2026-11-09
A developer open-sourced Tomorrow, a local-first personal finance app that grew out of his FIRE dashboard. It pulls bank, card and investment accounts via Plaid into a local database — no cloud, read-only, can't move money. Features include net worth overview, unified searchable transactions, category spending with anomaly flags, budgets, weather-style spending trends, a long-range plan vs. actuals, optional Claude-written month-end letters and read-only "Ask Claude". It was built almost entirely with Claude Opus 5.5 High, delegating some tasks to Sonnet and Haiku via subagent routing rules. Open source on GitHub, with a starting point for Windows/Android.
