Debloating a Hisense TV with Claude Code over ADB — no root, 14 apps disabled
SeanOliver · x · 2026-11-09
SeanOliver replaced his Hisense TV's ad-filled Google TV home with Projectivy Launcher, using Claude Code over ADB without rooting and disabling 14 preinstalled apps. Key gotcha: Android saves disabled-app state 10s after a change, but adb reboot skips the shutdown path that saves it — so all apps came back. Fix: use svc power reboot and wait 30s first. He shares the AOSP PackageManagerService timing that explains it.
