Warp fires back at 'factories don't ship software' jab: 400 factory PRs in one day
vikvang1 · x · 2026-11-09
Responding to criticism that companies selling 'software factories' ship shockingly little software themselves, a Warp engineer says the team built its factories product from scratch, shifted every engineer's workflow to depend on it, and continuously benchmarked and improved it — 'it has absolutely accelerated our pace of work,' with over 400 factory-generated PRs shipped in a single day last week. It's a vendor's own claim, but a rare case of countering AI-coding skepticism with in-house engineering data.
