Deaf developer builds Signal Dog, an AI agent plugin that hears door knocks and alarms
Scobleizer · x · 2026-11-09
Deaf developer Scott Leimroth built Signal Dog, a Hermes Agent plugin for Nous Research's hackathon that listens through a microphone for door knocks, appliance beeps and smoke alarms, then notifies the user in chat without storing audio. Built for his own home and open-sourced on GitHub under MIT license; the author notes it's not a certified smoke alarm.
