Apple straps a Mac mini to a Unitree G1 and runs it on a local Qwen model

Apple's research team mounted a Mac mini on the back of a Unitree G1 humanoid, controlled by default by a locally-running Qwen3.6-35B-A3B with no network connection. The robot navigates under tables, squeezes through narrow doors and sits down on chairs on its own — Apple's own hardware, powered by Alibaba's Qwen.
