AI may widen the gap between people, not close it
lagggggg_ · reddit · 2026-11-08
The author argues generative AI may amplify differences between people rather than close them. Tools like Pixverse lower the barrier to video creation, but given the same tool, one user generates once and stops while another iterates deliberately on subject, camera, and mood — same tool, wildly different results.
What's shifting is which skills matter: knowing what to ask beats finding answers (vague ideas yield generic output); judgment and filtering grow more valuable as information gets cheap; creativity, aesthetics, and iterative refinement remain human. The future gap won't be between AI users and non-users, but between those who ask better questions and those who can tell whether the output is actually good.
