CodeClimb's sandboxed architecture lets coding agents run overnight experiments without exposing credentials

pauliusztin shares CodeClimb's key design decision: never execute untrusted agent code in the same environment that evaluates it. The system applies the scientific method to coding agents—for problems like RAG, agents search implementations and parameters against datasets and evals. Architecture: local machine orchestrates and manages state; Pi agents write code executed in isolated Inngest Sandboxes; a separate sandbox runs evaluations and never sees hidden answers; Inngest Cloud handles durable workflows, retries and traces without ever running CodeClimb's code; a Next.js dashboard monitors experiments, costs and results.
