Voyager 1 hits one light-day from Earth on Nov 18; fan builds 3D NASA-accurate visualization with Claude

On November 18, Voyager 1 will be exactly one light-day from Earth — a message sent that day arrives a day later, with the reply taking another day. To make that distance tangible, @lukasersil built a 3D Voyager 1 visualization with Claude's help: the probe is modeled from NASA measurements and planet positions follow JPL ephemeris data, letting you scroll back through all 49 years — launch, Jupiter, Saturn, the Pale Blue Dot, up to the one-light-day mark.
The page includes a built-in tour and free exploration. Code and model will be open-sourced on GitHub in English and Czech.
