Shopify CEO Tobi Lütke at DotDev 2026: culture is how much a company sweats the details
schwentker · x · 2026-11-08
At DotDev 2026, Shopify CEO Tobi Lütke defined culture as "how much do people actually care, and therefore how much do they sweat the details," saying what others call culture is just the observable result of how closely a company's care for details matches its ambition. He also described three simultaneous shifts: the previously impossible is now merely hard, the very hard is now easy, and the expensive is now cheap — together creating "the most rich environment for innovation that is possibly imaginable."
