vCard spec's GENDER field lets you write "it's complicated" as free-form text

Developer zetalyrae highlighted an amusing detail from section 6.2.7 of the vCard spec (RFC 6350): the GENDER property is a structured value with two optional components — a single-letter sex code (M/F/O/N/U for male/female/other/none/unknown) followed by a free-form text gender identity. The spec's own examples are strikingly permissive, including GENDER:F;grrrl, GENDER:0;intersex, and even GENDER:;it's complicated, showing the authors deliberately left room for self-expression inside an otherwise strict data format.
