Open-source Prompt Vault v7.1 stores prompts locally with ComfyUI node metadata auto-import
danger_uxb · reddit · 2026-11-08
The author released Prompt Vault Desktop v7.1 (MIT-licensed, Windows), a local-first tool that keeps image-generation prompts together with their output images in a single AES-256-encrypted file — no account, no server, no telemetry.
Highlights:
- Each card stores positive/negative prompts, reference image, seed, size/ratio, tags and notes
- New ComfyUI integration: add the free Prompt Vault Card nodes, drop saved PNGs into the app, and each card auto-fills prompt, seed, model, active LoRAs, sampler settings, category and credit
- Up to 10 variants per card, drag-to-merge, batch queuing, full-library search and tag filters
- One-click copy into ComfyUI, A1111 or Forge; multiple vaults, encrypted portable backups
The download ships six sample PNGs that import as complete cards, with full source, build scripts and a step-by-step guide; the built app runs portably without Python.
