Google DeepMind Robotics released MuJoCo 4.0 with major simulation updates:
- No more tunneling: fast or thin objects no longer pass through each other via speculative contacts
- Deformables: soft bodies can deform permanently, rods can twist
- MuJoCo Studio: successor to simulate, with physically based rendering via Filament
The team calls it the best time yet for real2sim2real workflows, with demo videos available.
