Jinko Power plans 1GW solar-powered data center in Ningxia, a $361M project

Jinko Power Technology, part of the Jinko group, plans a 1GW data center in Zhongwei, Ningxia, a RMB 2.45 billion (USD 361M) project spanning 530,000 square meters, breaking ground this year with completion targeted for 2028.
A dedicated solar plant will supply power directly, and unusually for China's "computing-power coordination" model — a term newly added to a March policy document — the project is led by a solar panel maker rather than a typical data center operator.
