CHI researcher proposes open peer-review database, wants LLM reviewers banned
IanArawjo · x · 2026-11-08
Researcher Ian Arawjo proposes building an open review database for the CHI conference to expose problems in peer review. He argues CHI should end closed reviewing and ban reviewers who use LLMs to write reviews, calling it academic malpractice. He notes ACM policy already lets authors share their anonymized reviews freely, so crowdsourcing is only blocked by community norms.
