Ramp CEO: AI-native teams win on ambition, not tools — agents need less uncertainty, more trust

Ramp founder Karri Saarinen says companies like Ramp, Linear, and Anthropic ship so much with agents not because of a new SDLC or secret toolset — the tools are available to everyone. The real differentiator is ambition: AI-native teams encourage people to build more, experiment more, and let agents do more of the work. You get there by changing what you believe your teams are capable of, not by adopting a tool. Quoting him, @Arindam1729 adds that we're measuring coding agents at the wrong finish line: "the agent finished" isn't "I trust this enough to merge" — one small confident change beats five big ones requiring investigation, and the next agent upgrade should deliver less uncertainty, not more output.
