Lattice: open-source local-first LaTeX workspace that wires in Claude Code and Codex
aigclink · x · 2026-11-07
Lattice is an open-source (Apache-2.0), local-first, agent-first LaTeX writing app for macOS that consolidates the scattered academic writing toolchain into one workspace:
- Integrated LaTeX writing: local .tex editing with one-click compile, side-by-side live PDF preview, two-way source/PDF sync, and compile error diagnostics
- Reference management: import papers via arXiv, DOI, or BibTeX; manage references, citations, and Markdown notes together
- Coding agent integration: hooks into Claude Code and Codex so agents can read the paper project, edit LaTeX, and fix compile errors, with Diff-based review of AI changes and per-suggestion accept/reject
- Two-way Overleaf sync: collaborate with advisors on Overleaf while writing locally
- Research hub: papers, notes, whiteboards, and slides live in the same workspace
The repo has drawn 172 stars shortly after release.
