Ex-Meta CFO Dave Wehner joins Fireworks AI as CFO

Dave Wehner, Meta's longtime CFO, is leaving to join inference cloud startup Fireworks AI as CFO, citing enterprise AI as the most exciting opportunity he witnessed at Meta.
Founder Lin Qiao welcomed him, reiterating Fireworks' mission that every company should own specialized intelligence built from its own data and expertise—not just rent generic models—requiring co-designed training and inference, personalized model ensembles, and radically better economics.
