Dev ships open-source screen recorder Capwise after 6-hour autonomous Codex run
vista8 · x · 2026-11-07
The open-source screen recorder Capwise is nearly feature-complete for v1. The author used Claude Opus 5.5 to build beauty filters, bilingual subtitles, local/cloud ASR, and LLM-based filler-word removal, then let a Codex Goal instruction run for 6 hours autonomously — adding audio denoising, recording, Unsplash/Pixabay asset libraries, cover frames, and intro/outro management. Suno generated 8 background tracks. Phase 2 polishing starts next week, with open-sourcing expected next weekend.
