Continuing the debate over Dario's comments on skipping video generation, Jon Barron adds:
- People like to signal virtue in areas they're behind in — like late-2010s Googlers talking (correctly) about the harms of social media platforms.
- On the market point though, Dario is right: the TAM for LLMs has to be at least 1000x that of video generation.
