"Software factory" is marketing: invest tokens where work is deterministic

Lauren (poteto) argues you don't need a "software factory" — it's just marketing. You need good software engineering and tokens invested where the work is still deterministic (and token-efficient).
The reposter distills her honest pyramid of the product:
- Widest: the codebase
- Then: static analysis
- Then: verification
- Then: prose
- Tip: human review
Every layer you skip becomes a human again.
His commentary: teams keep renaming their agent stack into a "factory" and still wait on the same PR queue. The name didn't move the bottleneck — the tests, types, and hooks did. If your agent still needs a person to catch what types and tests should have caught, you didn't automate software; you automated a draft.
