Game studio goes all-in on AI development, cuts costs and keeps ~2 years of runway
templecrash · x · 2026-11-07
The studio behind Parallel published a wide-ranging update on its AI-first pivot:
- Games: an AI-driven dev system turns player feedback and data into rapid Colony updates, with short release cycles focused on retention and monetization; the approach may extend to TCG.
- Wayfinder: a simpler version in the works, plus token limit orders, stop losses, and major security upgrades.
- AI initiatives: several new AI products being tested across markets; using video generation with the existing Parallel asset library to produce long-form video at very low cost, first videos expected by month-end.
- Financials: operating costs reduced, roughly two years of runway, resources concentrated on products with strong retention and revenue.
