Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan told investors that even conservative estimates of total digital agents and agents serviced per CPU point to a massive dollar and unit TAM for CPUs over the next five years.
By Intel's estimate, server CPU TAM — largely driven by agentic workloads — could grow as much as 5x, from $40 billion today to more than $200 billion within five years. He framed the claim against $AMD, $ARM and $NVDA, offering a rare direct account of how AI agent demand could spill over into traditional CPU markets.
