From rural France to a Google acquisition: Vincent Nallatamby's earbuds journey
nathanbenaich · x · 2026-11-07
The story of Vincent Nallatamby: raised in rural Ardèche, France, he started a company straight out of school building earbuds tech before AirPods existed.
After failing to find European customers, he flew to China and signed million-dollar deals with smartphone brands, built always-on earbuds with 16-hour battery life, patented earbuds as ambient AI-assistant listening devices, and was acquired by Google in 2021, relocating from Paris to San Francisco.
