Theory Ventures is hosting its second annual AI agent hackathon, The Great Business Bake Off, on December 11 in San Francisco. Participants inherit a virtual bakery and have five hours to make it the most profitable in town using their own AI agents — setting prices, hiring staff, changing menus, and expanding while handling curveballs.
- Aimed at AI engineers, data scientists, and founders building with agents; last year drew 114 participants from NVIDIA, Meta, Google, Anthropic, and AI startups
- Solo event, limited spots, registration requires approval
- Judges include Tomasz Tunguz, Bryan Bischof, and Evals for AI co-authors Hamel Husain and Shreya Shankar
