Hermes-Agent hacks Echo Show 5: screen is just a web page you can customize
alexcovo_eth · x · 2026-11-07
After Echo Dot, a developer has rigged Amazon's Echo Show 5 with Hermes-Agent: the screen shows what the device heard, writes the answer as it speaks, and displays what it's working on. The trick is treating the screen as just a web page, so it can render anything. Commenters expect Hermes-Agent (Nous Research) to power lots of hardware, calling 2027 the year of the hardware builder.
