40,000 starlings flock live in your browser: a 3D murmuration built by iterating with Claude
Slackluster · reddit · 2026-11-06
A developer built a live 3D murmuration of 40,000 starlings in the browser using the LittleJS engine, created entirely by iterating with Claude. Grid-based boids simulate every bird; the mouse steers a hawk through the flock, the lake reflects with real waves, and mountains, sky, and water are generated in code with no image files. Press G to stream the flock over the mountains, F to fly the camera.
