GabGarrett · x · 2026-11-06
Concept Country released its first open-source model, Qwen Concept 27B, applying direct weight-space edits inspired by MIT CSAIL's 'Sparks of Weight-Space Programming' paper:
- 54% fewer thinking tokens
- +3% on GPQA Diamond vs the base Qwen model
- 30% more useful tokens per joule with no additional post-training
- Developed entirely on a local NVIDIA DGX Spark
BF16, FP8, and NVFP4 versions will be available for free. The team is behind Concept Country, an experimental digital-governance project for people and AI agents.
