AI2 Open-Sources ToyBlocks, a Simulated Tabletop for Controlled Robot Learning
allen_ai · x · 2026-11-06
Allen AI introduces ToyBlocks, an open simulated tabletop for controlled experiments in robot learning. It lets robotics researchers experimentally control training data and models, run targeted evals, and trace failures to their causes. The accompanying thread covers its 85K long-horizon demonstrations, a natural-language tool interface for frontier models, and sim2real transfer results (15/30 successes on a physical robot).
