AI avatar accounts steal comedians' jokes to funnel OnlyFans traffic, one hit near 8M views

Per NYT and Deadline reports, several US stand-up comedians say AI avatar accounts have been running their sets through generative tools — swapping in a photorealistic body that isn't theirs — and reposting them on Instagram as free-feeder content for paid OnlyFans and Fanvue pages.
- Comedian Olga Namer's bit, nine years in the making, got 520K views when she posted it; an AI avatar version hit nearly 8 million
- Natalie Cuomo's jokes have been ripped 7-10 times on Instagram; one copy even reproduced her own tattoos
- Olivia Carter's personal-trainer joke was reposted nearly word-for-word by a 214K-follower account that reached more people than she did; the accounts often block the comics they copy
The comics reported the accounts to Meta; Namer's lawyer-led attempt to trace an account's email came up empty after the account was taken down. Recourse is essentially nil.
