Dev releases 1.4M-image pixel-art synthetic dataset on Hugging Face under CC0
Angaisb_ · x · 2026-11-06
After failing to train a pixel-art model from scratch without spending over $2k, developer Angaisb released the effort as a synthetic dataset on Hugging Face: pixel-art-atlas-1.4m, over 1.4M images generated with Krea 2 and a custom LoRA.
- 16×16 pixel-art game sprites (chests, weapons, monsters, furniture, etc.), each with caption and subject labels, CC0 licensed
- Author hints at ideas to significantly improve asset quality; the main open issue is removing the magenta background, for which a fix is already planned
