Anthropic RSP and OpenAI Preparedness replaced by commitmentless docs, experts warn

sjgadler criticizes the replacement of Anthropic's RSP and OpenAI's Preparedness Framework with "mushy, essentially-commitmentless documents." Even the old docs' penalties would be miniscule ($1M fines for multi-trillion-dollar companies), and the companies are now only legally bound by their Frontier Compliance / Frontier Governance Frameworks.
Quoted policy scholar Nathan Calvin adds that state law (SB 53 / RAISE Act) gave Anthropic a mechanism for credible commitments, but neither company's compliance framework covers internal-deployment RSI risk — Anthropic only says it may add it someday. He argues now is the time to include it.
