Keio team brings full-waveform LiDAR transformers to real time with token reduction
Kotaro Oishi · hf · 2026-11-06
Keio University researchers combine intensity-guided token pruning/merging with waveform-preserving, physics-aware augmentation to push a full-waveform LiDAR transformer to real-time speed with higher accuracy and better generalization. Full-waveform LiDAR preserves complete return waveforms, helping with fog, rain, transparent objects and low-reflectance surfaces in autonomous driving.
