Indie developer vista8 fixed Screen Studio's inaccurate Chinese speech recognition by adding local and cloud ASR options: on-device Qwen3-ASR 0.6B (free, 1GB, 30 languages/22 dialects), Parakeet v3, Whisper Small/Medium; cloud options include Doubao Voice (fastest, word-level timestamps), Qwen3-ASR via SiliconFlow (5-min audio in 5s), and Zhipu GLM.
