Vercel open-sources agent-desktop: AI agents control PCs without stealing your mouse
lxfater · x · 2026-11-06
Vercel released agent-desktop (17.3k GitHub stars), a computer-use CLI for AI agents like Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. Instead of screenshot-based clicking, it reads the OS accessibility API to address buttons and inputs directly, so agents work in the background without grabbing mouse focus. Multiple agents can run in parallel with separate virtual cursors on macOS, Windows and Linux — one user ran 16 AIs on 16 apps simultaneously on a single Mac.
