WhatThePort update: macOS menu bar tool shows which AI agent started each dev server
tomjohndesign · x · 2026-11-06
WhatThePort, a free open-source macOS menu bar tool, added new features: pausing servers (not just stopping), grouping servers from Docker, OrbStack and others, better prefix handling, and sorting.
It lists every dev server and port on your Mac with branch, the AI agent that started it (Claude Code, Codex, Conductor, etc.), and memory cost — flagging servers over 2GB or +500MB in 10 minutes, cleaning up forgotten process trees (Postgres/Redis protected by default), and offering a wtp TUI with JSON output for scripts and agents.
