The first Human–AI Interaction Conference (HAIC 2027) will take place June 27–30, 2027 in Washington, DC, with abstracts due January 21 and full papers January 28, 2027.
- Why a new venue: Human-AI interaction work is currently scattered across CHI, CSCW, NeurIPS, ACL, FAccT and others; no existing conference treats human-AI collaboration as its central problem
- Differentiation: Emphasis on translational impact into industry, science, healthcare and education; review timelines calibrated to fast-moving frontier capabilities, plus a dedicated practice & deployment track
- Topics: Collaborative intelligence & teaming, societal impact of human-AI systems, and interfaces beyond the chat box
