Zavain Dar announces the launch of Chai Discovery and open-sources Chai-1, a frontier model for biomolecular interactions, with funding co-led by Thrive and OpenAI alongside Dimension Capital. In just one year the startup has signed deals with Lilly, Pfizer, BMS, Argenx, GSK, Novartis and Roche — what he calls biopharma business physics being broken by breakthrough AI.
